The essential function of the updated device is a camera the records both a person standing before that camera, as well as a projected live feed of a public square (such as Times Square in NYC or Trefalgar Square in London from http://www.camvista.com/england/london/trafalgarsquare_streaming.php). By recording these as overlaid images, the person being recordered in front of the camera is combined with a large number of people recorded elsewhere. This in put can then be manipulated (in a way yet to be determined) and projected back onto the person in front of the camera. This projected image will feed back into the camera as well, completing a loop.
