notes from the review

cast shadows as projections of intent, comment on poster/searcher asymmetry – comment on the nature of veiled, annonymous exchanges on craigslist

Enter actual people, movement, the humanist component – this is what is missing from social interactions – anchored by actual contact – remember the performative aspect, references to actual performance art / scrim / theater (look up theater stuff)

shadows should be much more crystalized – everything crisp

ask about the lights and delay

have some kind of dictionary for the shadows – somehow the analogy is clear

the sheet as an interface – no matter what the exchange, it is always there

applications? Beyond actually playing with screens and transparancies – question of the literal analog again, but at the architecture scale, and the more fluid interpretation

mid-scale ie, programmed surface space outdoor
precedents: mccarin pool, ampitheater, badeschiff (direct engagement with the water)

technology as a reduction of distance, and yet our social interactions have become much more sanitized

performance space in the traditional sense? Or something less explicitly performative – theater of daily life, of social engagement, civic investment as performance
