Analog Intent_ [rough]

Similar to the scientific manner in which Chemistry.com determines the compatibility of individuals based on the chemical make-up of their personalities, the psychoacoutstical model of music analysis proposes a classification of tones and intervals based upon the response of the untrained ear.

Using a 49-key Electronic keyboard as the tone generator, a coded system will classify the tones according to a numeric system and determine the distance between tones. A positive response, determining the sounds to be less than nine tones apart, will trigger the next mode of analysis in which the specific relationship of the interval is evaluated. Based on the scientific phenomena that occur when tones are sounded simultaneously, a theory of consonant and dissonant psychoacoustic measure establishes intervals that imply resolution versus those that evoke harshness. Thus, the consonant, or resolved, tones will elicit and positive match in the script, while the dissonant, or harsh, tones are rejected.

[This is a basic framework for my analog model. I am seeking out more criteria to further develop the analysis of the psychoacoustic interval ratio.]
