an initial look at form. The structure of the FDR determines simple start/stop points and dictates angles/slopes. The form is then stretched and flipped to create a surface that rises from the ground on one side while hanging from the underside of the freeway on the other. The fluid form does not have to be solid material, rather it can be defined loosely by a grid of hanging or raised objects (lights?). The lights can be programmed to respond to local conditions/stimuli and can be static, create motion, indicate event, or simply be turned off. The actual building can be a rather conventional in shape/construction, but wrapped in these other elements will begin to take on a more etherial and possibly morphing shape as lighting conditions change and/or lights in the fixtures are turned on/off or oscillated.
